DO MORE SKILLS ยท TROY BAUGH

The Program

A structured 10-week movement-based mindfulness and self-regulation curriculum for schools, after-school programs, and youth organizations. Every session includes skill practice under real pressure and a student journal that generates measurable growth data.

THE METHOD

Feel It ยท Know It ยท Do It Under Pressure

MiM uses a three-phase teaching sequence developed through years of performance coaching, behavioral health work, and applied mindfulness practice. Every drill, every session, every week follows the same progression.

01

Feel It

Eyes closed, body awareness before execution. Students learn to notice physical and emotional signals in the body before a skill is practiced. Somatic awareness as the foundation of regulation.

02

Know It

Pattern recognition. Once students can feel the sequence, they can name it. Naming emotions reduces their intensity and creates space between stimulus and response.

03

Do It Under Pressure

Real competitive pressure โ€” not simulated. Students apply regulation skills while actually under stress. This is what classroom SEL cannot replicate and why MiM works where other programs don't.

EACH SESSION

What a session looks like

Every session follows the same four movements โ€” ritual creates safety and focus with large groups.

1

2

The Frame

5-7 minutes

One concept. One question. One example. Students get a lens to take into the physical activity โ€” not a lecture.

3

The Floor

35-40 minutes

Phase A: Eyes-closed body awareness before execution. Phase B: Competitive drill with regulation rule built in. Phase C: One pressure scenario stress test.

4

Arrive & Ground

8โ€“10 minutes

Journals open before any ball is touched. Gratitude check-in, body scan, week theme introduced. Same ritual every session.

Land & Transfer

8โ€“10 minutes

Back to baseline. Journals out. Max 3 prompts. Same closing every session: "The more I notice, the more choice I have.

THE STUDENT JOURNAL

Every student. Every session. Measurable growth.

The journal is what makes MiM fundable. It produces the student outcome data schools need for SEL reporting and grant compliance โ€” automatically, every session.

Pre & Post Self-Assessment

Same 5-question instrument at program start and end โ€” gives administrators a before/after data story aligned with SEL reporting requirements.

Daily Practice Pages

Body check-in, gratitude, focus of the day, after-movement reflection โ€” structured, repeatable, facilitator-ready.

Weekly Reflection

Skill recap, emotion tracking, real-world transfer prompts โ€” one per week for all 10 weeks.

Educator-Ready Design

Consistent format means any trained staff member can facilitate โ€” does not require the program founder in the room.

WHY THIS MATTERS

"The only SEL program where students generate their own growth data โ€” every session. Pre and post assessment scores give your district a before/after story that holds up in grant reporting, board presentations, and accountability conversations."
